Three generations of joiners. One Sydney workshop.
Elbalqa Joinery has been designing, making and installing bespoke cabinetry across Sydney since 1994. Bassam Tabazza grew up in his grandfather’s and his father’s workshops, and started the business on a conviction that still runs it: a room should be built around the way you actually live in it, not the other way around.
Our reason for being
Our purpose is to design spaces that are beautiful and functional, and to be genuinely thoughtful about how people use them — where you put the keys down, what you reach for first thing, what you would rather not have on display. Answer that well and the joinery stops reading as furniture and starts being part of the house.
Over thirty years in Sydney
What began as one joiner’s vision has become an established name in Sydney custom cabinetry. Across three decades we have fitted out kitchens, wardrobes, laundries, home offices and commercial spaces from the Northern Beaches to the Macarthur region, and built long relationships with homeowners, builders, architects and interior designers along the way. A good share of our work still comes from people who have used us before, or were told about us by someone who has.
Australian owned, made in our own workshop
We are 100% Australian owned and operated. Every project is drawn, manufactured and installed by our own team. We build with Polytec, Laminex, Quantum Quartz and Porta, on Blum and Häfele hardware, and we hold builder’s licence 383084C.
